Flatbed Scanner Photographs

http://www.photo-vinc.com/articles/Flatbedscanner/Flatbedscanner.html
A simplistic introduction with some examples of using the scanner as a way to make photos.
Try to think beyond the initial impulse to just place an object on the center of the glass.
You can add colored filters to the surface of the glass, move objects during scanning,
place interesting backgrounds over your objects, etc. etc. Do not put your face in the frame.
You can place acetate or a flat piece of glass over the scanner glass so you can introduce liquid, paint, etc. into the process.
Try to think beyond beauty. Scanned objects, because of their sharpness, tend to look gorgeous.
You can pick a theme for yourself if you like.
Good luck. Have fun.
